The Starter Lineup is a lineup of knives that are priced for less than the All-Star lineup. Here's why I can sell them for less:

The handles are straight with no finger swells, this makes them much faster and easier to shape. The handles are finished to a low grit and left rough. The handles are bolted on but have no epoxy. They only come with half or full height grinds, no complicated grinds like varied and reverse varied, no saw teeth etc. The grinds are finished to a lower grit and may have some stray marks in them. Nothing too noticeable but they won't be as finely finished as the All-Star knives.

Finally, they have no handle warranty and the blade warranty is for three months. It includes batoning but no prying. So if you're knife breaks in half as you're batoning it then I'll replace within a three month time period of the sale. If you pry with it and the tip breaks off, then you're out of luck.

Each will be marked with "STR" on the onside near the Turley mark. This is to make it clear what it is if it's ever sold on the secondary market. It will not be numbered or come with a Protect-o-Plate. These knives are not available for order, but I will make some from time to time and put them up in the store for sale if you're interested. You can however, order a Starter Lineup pattern and have it made to the All-Star lineup standards if you like, when your order comes up.
