M21 Boonie Knife

Boonies:  Remote area, Boondocks. Term used by LRRPS and other specialized combat troops to describe hostile, rural areas of operation. Also knows as Indian Country. The Boonie knife is a tribute to the Special Operation personnel who fought in the Vietnam war.

It's also a tribute to the Vietnam era Randall model 15 knives made in Solingen Germany in order to keep up with the increased demand for combat knives during that time. It's no secret if you know me, that the Model 15 Solingen knives are an obsession of mine, so this knife was bound to happen.

The Boonie is a good mix between hunting knife (it's got a good amount of belly), woods knife (plenty of drop and toughness) and combat knife ( get it with a commando grind and it will be even better). Just a good all around knife that can be specialized to any one task depending on the options you choose.
